I worked at Linuxkorea, Inc. as a substitute for military service.

Between 2004 and 2005, I worked as a software engineer on network management software projects. I especially worked on KTDMS, KT Domain Management System, developing network statistics display with RRDtool.

Between 2005 and 2007, I worked as a system engineer for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

2008 Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute

I worked at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute as a summer intern.

During the summer, I worked on nokmc, Kinetic Monte Carlo simulator prototype written in Python.

2010 Fasoo.com

I worked at Fasoo.com's Program Analysis division, which develops SPARROW static analyzer. The work included development of Eclipse plugin to report the result of the analysis.

Activity

I participated in PyCon 2007, held in Addision, Texas (near Dallas).

I presented at 2008 Lang.NET Symposium, held at Microsoft Corporate, Redmond. Content and video recording of the talk is available.

In 2010-2011, I am mentoring in Software Maestro program, a Korean goverment program to help talented young programmers. It is the first year of this program.

The program is sponsored by Ministry of Knowledge Economy and National IT Industry Promotion Agency.

Online activity

Python Korean User Group is the largest community of Python users in Korea. I have been an administerator of its forum since 2003.

KLDP is the largest free software community in Korea. I have been a guest blogger since 2006.

I contributed to ActiveState Code recipes. One of recipes was printed by O'Reilly in Python Cookbook.

I answer programming questions on Stack Overflow.
